Body of Knowledge

The AI Skills Network Body of Knowledge (BOK) defines the competencies and performance indicators assessed on the AIP and CAIP certification exams. Version 1.0.

About the Body of Knowledge

The BOK is organized into four domains, thirteen competencies, and sixty-eight performance indicators. Each performance indicator describes a specific, testable behavior that a proficient AI practitioner should be able to demonstrate. Performance indicators are written using action verbs aligned to Bloom's Taxonomy, with the majority at the Apply, Analyze, and Evaluate levels.

The BOK is reviewed annually. Up to 10–15% of content may change in any given review cycle to reflect the evolving AI landscape. Changes are published with effective dates and version numbers.
