The advanced credential that validates strategic AI application, agent management, and AI-augmented professional practice. For practitioners ready to lead.
The Certified AI Professional credential is for practitioners who have moved past competent AI use and are now deploying AI strategically — designing augmented workflows, managing agents, and shaping how their teams or organizations adopt AI.
Where AIP validates that you can use AI well, CAIP validates that you can lead with it.
CAIP candidates are typically senior individual contributors, team leads, and managers who have accumulated real practice deploying AI across non-trivial professional problems. Roles often include: senior analyst, product manager, operations lead, marketing director, consultant, head of department.
The CAIP exam is more demanding than AIP in both length and item type. It combines scenario-based multiple-choice items with extended case-based questions that require multi-step judgment and tradeoff analysis.
CAIP holders receive an enhanced talent-directory listing, eligibility for the AISN practitioner council, and the right to use the CAIP designation. Like AIP, the credential is valid for two years and can be maintained through CE or re-examination.
At $197 per year, AI Skills Network membership pays for itself with your first exam — and includes access to the talent network, member directory, and professional resources.
