Exam Policies

Scheduling
Exams may be scheduled at any time through our proctoring partner, subject to proctor availability. Exams are offered 7 days a week, including evenings. We recommend scheduling at least 7 days in advance to ensure your preferred time slot.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule your exam up to 48 hours before your scheduled appointment at no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the exam fee. No-shows forfeit the exam fee. In cases of documented emergency (medical, family, or technical failure), contact us within 72 hours for consideration of a fee waiver.
Retake Policy
Candidates who do not pass may retake the exam after a mandatory 30-day waiting period. The full exam fee applies for each retake. There is no limit on the total number of attempts.
Scoring
Exams are scored on a pass/fail basis. The passing score is determined through a criterion-referenced standard-setting process (modified Angoff method) and is not based on a curve. Preliminary results are displayed immediately; official score reports with domain-level performance breakdown are delivered within 5 business days.
Accommodations
AI Skills Network provides reasonable accommodations for candidates with documented disabilities, in accordance with applicable law. Accommodations may include: extended time (typically 50% additional), screen reader compatibility, adjustable font sizes, separate proctoring arrangements, or other modifications based on documented need. Submit accommodation requests at least 30 days before your intended exam date.
Appeals
Candidates may appeal exam results or certification decisions by submitting a written appeal to appeals@aiskillsnetwork.org within 30 days of the decision. Appeals must state the specific grounds for the appeal and include any supporting documentation. AI Skills Network will review the appeal and provide a written response within 60 days. Appeals related to exam scoring will include a review of the statistical validity of the challenged items.
Misconduct
Exam misconduct includes but is not limited to: use of unauthorized materials or assistance, communication with others during the exam, recording or capturing exam content, impersonation, and disruption of the testing environment. Suspected misconduct is investigated by AI Skills Network. Confirmed misconduct may result in exam invalidation, certification revocation, and a permanent or temporary ban from future examinations.
